Youth Climate Strike in New York City

NEW YORK, NY – MARCH 15, 2019: Youth Climate Strike: Students of all ages rallied in downtown Manhattan's City Hall Park and marched uptown to Columbus Circle where they rallied once again before marching onto the Upper West Side where they stood on the steps of the Museum of Natural History to end the march and chant about environmental issues. Elementary and teenage students demanding that politicians, corporations, individual citizens, etc., take more effective action to guard the planet from pollution and global warming. This event also brings light on the subject of the Green New Deal which is a set of proposed economic stimulus programs in the United States that aims to address climate change and economic inequality.
