During her 90 years, Queen Elizabeth II has reigned as British Monarch and Head of State of the Commonwealth for a record 63 years. She became Queen on the death of her Father, King George VI, in February 1952 and her Coronation took place in June 1953. Her Husband, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, has been by her side throughout and they have four children, her successor Prince Charles, only daughter Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and the youngest Prince Edward. She is the most widely travelled of all British Monarchs and is loved and respected across the globe. On June 12th 2016 she will officially celebrate her 90th birthday, hosting The Patron’s Lunch – a picnic on the Mall in front of Buckingham Palace attended by representatives of the 600 charities and organisations of which she is Patron.
