In interview Biff says we have a new class of immigrants now that seems almost defiant, to drive around town with a Mexican flag on your antenna and make no attempt to become part of what I call a society where we all strive together, on the same page, obeying the same laws, speaking the same language. In interview Kent says there are lots of cultural issues, two different cultures meeting head on when they come here from Mexico or California. In interview Hispanic boy says one feels shy, you don't want to say anything because you don't speak English. In interview a white boy says it is a good learning experience having Latinos here because you get to learn a new language and get to grow up with great people. In interview Kent says demographically we are like an inner city school right here in Marshalltown, Iowa, I knew what I was getting into and was excited about it because I wanted to work in a school that reflected society at large and society in the future, the diversity is our greatest strength not a weakness. In interview David stitches boys forehead and says with pointing and pantomiming we can sometimes get by, when I start speaking Spanish, they start speaking English because they decide it is better than my Spanish.
