- I don't think that any bloodsport has been responsible for putting any species in danger of extinction. Certainly not organised blood sports. It's exactly the same as a farmer, you want something the following year. The dangerous people are the commercial exploiters. If you are concerned with a continuing sustainable use, it seems to be perfectly reasonable. In many cases blood sports are to do with controlling pests. Foxes are a classic example. All predators are living on some other organism.
