Senator King Wants Strong Defense Against Infrastructure Cyber Attack

Maine senator Angus King recounts a frightening cyberattack on the energy gird of Ukraine, saying that he has heard repeated warnings from every public official involved with intelligence and national security that an attack on our critical infrastructure is not possible but likely. King offers that one of the reasons Ukraine was able to get the power back on so fast was because the Ukrainian grid was not up to modern standards of digitization. King discusses legislation offered that would order United States national labs to work with utilities to determine not new software patches and new complexity but protecting the grid by returning to old-fashioned analogue switches. King says the Senate must act expeditiously and directly to counteract the threat which he says is not an abstract threat but a direct, clear, and present danger to the future of this country.
