Madrid, 23 April (EFE).- UNESCO celebrates World Book and Copyright Day on April 23, a symbolic date for literature lovers as it coincides with the day in 1616 on which authors William Shakespeare, Miguel de Cervantes and Inca Garcilaso de la Vega died. All around the world, nations pay tribute on Monday to books and writers and organize special events aimed at encouraging citizens, especialy the young, to discover or rediscover the joys of reading.
