Government Under Pressure to Change Child Refugee Policy

VOICED: Good Evening. The Prime Minister is under increasing pressure this evening to reinstate a policy of providing homes for child refugees. Theresa May was accused of a "very shabby cop out" over the government's decision to scrap a programme to welcome 3,000 children fleeing the war in Syria. Only 350 have come to Britain so far. And today campaigners - led by the man who persuaded the government to make that commitment originally - took a petition signed by tens of thousands of people to Downing Street.
