Senator Rubio clarifies border security funding request in opposition to government shutdown

Florida Senator Marco Rubio says on the 18th day of a partial government shutdown that he did not understand the objection to $5 billion for border security, not for a wall but for priorities in a plan to include strengthening walls and barriers but more than a wall, adding that a 2013 comprehensive immigration bill would have spent four times as much the politics had changed so positions had changed, Rubio not in favor of government shutdowns that do not make sense since people not responsible including border agents, TSA and federal employees of agencies were missing paydays.
