David Cameron speech on Europe: Boris Johnson interview

David Cameron speech on Europe: Boris Johnson interview; ENGLAND: London: City Hall: INT Boris Johnson MP (London Mayor) interview SOT - (on David Cameron Europe speech) he's got it right, big chance for us to get a great deal for Britain, lopping off brambles that have grown around the European project but keeping us in single market - (if you can't lop off brambles would you vote to come out?) think the renogotation is there to be done, no doubt it will succeed because its in the interests of this country and the whole European Union, absolutely ludicrous of Ed Miliband to rule out this debate, to rule out a referendum - (if couldn't renegotiate would you come out) of course, but the best future for this country is being in the trade zone, working with partners to build the European economy but also looking to the United State - London is a global capital - emerging economies - (on timeframe for referendum and uncertainties for business) got a very clear position, Prime Minister has made it clear that he want the UK to be at the heart of trade and business in Europe - reassuring to business - When referendum comes.. it is a chance to settle question and move on --(that if there are no renegotions he would vote to come out of Europe) absolutely - overwhelmingly likely that our partners will want to do a good deal with us - they need us here - (on what we need for Britain to stay in Europe) need to see progress on brambles that have grown up around European projects - why laws on working time are necessary, why European commissioner saying it was time for Brussels to regulate the media? I mean 'donne moi en break' as we say in London - We need a sensible renegotiation - think its very good news - If we don't get it then obviously have to be in a position to walk away - my view that the consequences of that would be less disastrous than people suggest, like not joining the Euro 15 years ago was not as damaging or disasterous as people said then...
