Conservative Party Conference: David Cameron interview

ENGLAND: Birmingham: INT David Cameron MP (Prime Minister) interview SOT - What we are proposing here is to look at groups who currently are just the right side of not endorsing actual violence but they are preaching extremism, and there is a very strong argument to say that these extremists are poisoning the minds of young people who are then going on to become violent and we shouldn't give airtime, we shouldn't give freedom to these sorts of groups - I think you've probably had on your programmes those people who just go one stop short or endorsing violence but they are really inciting young British people into hatred that is leading to violence - put it this way, we don't just say 'Combat 18' is a bad thing, we think National Front is a bad thing too and we have to be as confrontational with this Islamist extremist terror -Think that everyone should pay their fair share, we've put up taxes on expensive homes, we've made sure that the rich have paid their share / inequality under this government has fallen, that might not be a convenient fact for you and your story .. there are fewer children in poverty - The richest one percent are now paying over a quarter of the entire income tax take - We need to do more to help people, what we've done is cut their taxes, we've said you can earn 10,000 pounds before you pay any income tax - that's taken 3 million of the poorest people in our country out of income tax altogether / if you are on minimum wage and you work a 40 hour week, your income tax bill under this government has gone down by two thirds - The rich should pay their share, yesterday we announced that these companies that come to Britain .. they must pay corporation tax - (on Scottish Independence Referendum) it was very difficult to tell what was really happening with the opinion polls but I accept it was a hard fought campaign / it was a very dangerous moment for the United Kingdom but my view was if you rewind back to the meeting I had with Ale...
