Connie Fisher interview; GIR: Connie Fisher (Singer) LIVE STUDIO interview SOT - Can't watch myself / It was luck and fate how it turned out that I'm doing all eight shows / Being thrown in at the deep end it's sink or swim / Was stuck in telesales and was losing faith in my ability / You lose confidence in yourself when the phone doesn't ring / Now I have confidence / Sadly am not nominated for the Oliviers but been up for other awards / Real honour being nominated for a South Bank Show Award / Class myself as a professional / Hope that people who decide who the Olivier nominees are don't hang onto that reality tv stigma / We're so over that - We had great reviews / What's important is that we have full houses and people enjoy it / Am officially only there until March but am hoping that I'll be able to stay until 2008 / Scary prospect stepping out of the safety net of the role but also very exciting as I feel there are a lot of other roles I'd be right for / Now I've got a good role on my CV and can show my versatility / Am looking forward to the next one / If I'm not asked to extend in March I can always join the Grease queue / Joseph is on BBC1 and Grease is on ITV / Professionals do work their way up from the bottom to play the big roles so it's only fair that they're given auditions / Nice that the public can decide who they want to come and see though
