Congresswoman Kim calls insecure border a national security, humanitarian, public health crisis
California Congresswoman Young Kim says during a period of one minute speeches on the House floor that having a taken a sixth trip to the southern border as a member of Congress communities were hurting in a national security, humanitarian and public health crisis, praising adoption of her amendment to a fiscal 2025 appropriations bill to force the Biden Administration to create a strategy to secure every mile of the border since President Obama signed into law in 2016 a bill to require a northern border strategy, but no similar law since exists.
