Boris Johnson and Sergey Lavrov press conference; Boris Johnson MP (Foreign Secretary) press conference SOT - Thank you very much it s great t be here in Moscow after an absence of some years. It's good to have a chance to celebrate 450 years of our bilateral relationship. Every since ever since Elizabeth I. As you rightly say things are not easy between us at the moment And when I look at the difficulties in our relationship whether it's over Ukraine or the Western Balkans or Cyberspace, I agree with you it's important to talk about these things and to be frank and to accept they're obstructions in our relationships at the moment We must not let ourselves be defined by these problems And as you say we are both P5 members. We have a duty to our countries and the world to work together for peace and security. Where we can I think we can find possibilities of cooperation on issues where we have substantial interests in common such as Iran and the need to continue with the Nuclear deal. Such as it's imperative to stop the NK acquiring a Nuclear weapon. And of course the need to progress the future of the people of Syria . So those difficult issues, where we want to cooperate together and areas of Bilat which are promising and I want to see more progress. I was very pleased there was a Shakespeare train on the Moscow Metro. And I know that we are already co-operating with you in the run up to the world cup. We look forward to ensuring fans from the UK enjoy their time here in Russia. And I know that in spite of the difficulties that we have as you rightly say there are signs of economic progress. There are increasing exports of Kettle Crisps to Russia inspire of the difficulties 300 Bentley were sold. None the less a sign of progress. Things are difficult but we want to work together and work to achieve a better future. Thank you for welcoming us to Moscow
