At the Indianapolis Speedway, crowds of people gather to watch race cars speed around the track during the Indy 500. Followed by a close up shot of famed race car driver Frank Lockhart, winner of the race, Indianapolis, Indiana, U.S.A., 1926. This was the first rain-shortened race in "500" history, and rookie Frank Lockhart became the fourth rookie to win the race. Lockhart is considered by many historians to be a legend in the sport on par with Jim Clark, 1960s British World Drivers' Champion.
