For my final post of the year I simply had to look back at one of the finest days in the hills that I have had. The conditions seemed favourable for an inversion when I set off into the cold damp fog to climb Bla Bheinn on the Isle of Skye. I had wanted to climb this hill again as I didn't get a view the last time I was here. As I reached the upper slopes, I broke through the top of the cloud, and was treated to this view along the ridge to Clach Glas and Garbh Bheinn. It's moments like this that make the effort worthwhile, and to stand alone on a summit like this with no sound and a magnificent view - well, it just doesn't get any better. 2024 was a special year for me, and here's hoping that 2025 is even better.
