Crescent-Tailed Bigeye or Moontail Bullseye Priacanthus hamrur occurs in tropical Indo-Pacific in small aggregations and sometimes in schools in oceanic locations in a depth range from 8-250m, max. length 45cm, common length 40cm. It is an uncommon species found in outer reef slopes and deep lagoon pinnacles. The species feeds on small fish, crustaceans, and other small invertebrates. At an outer reef at the westside of Palau, Micronesia, 7°16'15.979" N 134°14'44.119" E at 19m depth
