Mountainous landscape in the Pamirs of Tajikistan, on the famous M41 road (Pamir Highway) down from Ak-Baital pass (4655m). This is a very remote area and the M41 is one of the only road crossing the Pamirs.The Pamir highway goes from Afghanistan, to eastern Uzbekistan, crosses Tajikistan from west to east and ends in Osh, Kyrgyzstan. The road has been used for ages (it was one of the ancient silk roads) and is today famous for being the second highest road in the world and also one of the most beautiful.
