A Bangladeshi survivor of Cyclone AILA d

A Bangladeshi survivor of Cyclone AILA displays a placard during a mime show in Dhaka May 24, 2010. Cyclone Aila slammed into southern Bangladesh on May 26, 2009 and while the initial deathtoll was low, less than 300 people were killed , compared to 4000 by cyclone Sidr in 2007 a huge tidal surge destroyed the network of rivers embankments. A year later the embankments have not been rebuilt, condemning 200,000 people to live in limbotheir land submerged and too salty for crops.
