Traditional weavers in Nobsa of Colombia

Nobsa is a small town in the department of Boyacá that is located approximately 3 hours from Bogotá. It is considered a colonial town, where almost its entire economy grows around the work of a group of peasant women who are dedicated to traditionally weave all garments such as hats, covers, jackets and ruanas, the latter being a garment that for years has been representative for the department and for the country. Some of them still obtain their main product (wool) from shearing the sheep from scratch and thus being able to obtain the products for the manufacture of clothing.
