(Original Caption) State Trooper Mrs. Lucinda Hammond of Bellefonte, Pa., is just starting her duties and already she has a problem: her son, Tom, 3-1/2, doesn't want her to go on patrol duties. Trying to, perhaps, soften Tom's resistance, Trooper Hammond sits in front seat of car with him and lets him try on her uniform hat on for size. Mrs. Hammond is one of 14 women who were part of group of 146 cadets to graduate from Pennsylvania's State Police Academy recently.
