Wayne Morse Riding His Horse
(Original Caption) Senator Morse Relazes. Beallsville, Md.: Senator Wayne Morse, Oregon independent, rides his champion five-gaited stallion, "Morris Chief," as he relaxes after the almost 86-hour Senate session which ended in recess late July 24th. Morse refused to go along with those who said the talkathon was over, saying he was ready to top his 1952 record filibuster to try to block the pending Atomic Eneergy Bill.
