German Vessels near Flag

(Original Caption) Kiel, Germany: Reported Poised For Invasion Of England. Shown here is a small part of the great fleet of motor torpedo boats with which, experts believe, Germany intends to attempt the long, threatened invasion of England. These boats are very fast, capable of 50 miles an hour and can carry 200 men fully equipped for fighting. They also carry torpedoes, depth charges and machine guns. These boats might possibly be employed as convoys for the rumored Armada of diesel motored troop barges that would ferry an invading Army across the narrow English Channel after planes and long-range guns had battered out a clear landing spot on the "tight little island."
