Catalan Pro-Independence Parties Launch Referendum Campaign
TARRAGONA, SPAIN - SEPTEMBER 14: President of Catalonia Carles Puigdemont delivers a speech during a meeting to launch the Self-Determination referendum campaign on September 14, 2017 in Tarragona, Spain. The vote on breaking away from Spain was called by the Catalan governemnt for October 1, 2017 but is suspended by the Spain's Constitutional Court following a demand from the Spanish Government. Catalan and Spanish security forces have been instructed by the Spain's Public Prosecutor's Office to take all the elements which could promote or help to celebrate the referendum. This includes ballots, ballots boxes, promotional material.
