Growth up, deficit down: Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni's centre-left government got a boost from new data ahead of a weekend election in which the state of the economy is a key issue. Growth in the eurozone's third largest economy last year was revised up to 1.5 percent compared to a previous estimate of 1.4 percent, according to figures from the official data agency Istat published just four days before voting on March 4.
