TRISHULI, NEPAL - AUGUST 30: Nepal Army rescue team members walk through during rescue work near the swollen Trishuli River bed, close to Trishuli village, on August 30, 2026, in Nepal. Authorities said the August 26 flash floods were triggered after a mass of ice, mud and rock collapsed into a Himalayan river near the Nepal-China border, leaving hundreds dead and thousands missing, while causing widespread damage in affected districts. Authorities continued the gruelling search for victims, many buried under metres of mud, as both China and Nepal issued fresh flooding alerts. (Photo by Ritesh Shukla/Getty Images)
