(Original Caption) March Hodler (left), Swiss president of the International Ski Association (FIS) hands over to Chiharu Igaya, the sensational Japanese skier who attends Dartmouth College, the beautiful silver medal of the FIS for his second place in the men's special slalom Feb. 2nd. At right is Prince Takeda, head of the Japanese Olympic team attending the winter games at Cortina. Tony Sailer won the event in which Igaya's second place was protested. If films of the event prove he missed a gate, second place goes to a Dartmouth College Colleague.
