Visitor mine - winding bridge F60
06 March 2025, Brandenburg, Lichterfeld: The visitor mine with the F60 conveyor bridge (aerial view with a drone). The 502 meter long and 70 meter high F60 is one of the world's largest technical installations. It could remove up to 60 meters of overburden. It is also popularly known as the horizontal Eiffel Tower. It has been part of the visitor mine since May 2002. Coal was mined in the former Klettwitz-Nord open-cast mine until 1992. After the mine was closed, it was decided to preserve the bridge and make it accessible to the public as a visitor mine.
