WASHINGTON, : Julia Child sits in her kitchen after being moved and rebuilt from her Cambridge, MA home 19 August, 2002 as part of an exhibit at the National Museum of American History in Washington, DC. After deciding to move back to her home state of California, Child donated the kitchen and approximately cataloged 1,200 objects. Child, the culinary maverick who introduced the US to the joys of French cuisine, was honored 19 August 2002 with the special museum exhibit marking her 90th birthday, Washington's Smithsonian Institution announced.
