Lyndon Johnson Wearing Cowboy Hat
(Original Caption) 11/2/1965-Johnson City, TX: Four weeks after his gall bladder surgery, President Lyndon Johnson has shown the benefits of setting his own schedule of convalescence. Through his press secretary, LBJ announced that heavily increased military use of aluminum next year will require sale of surplus aluminum from government stockpiles. The move was taken by some as a slap at the industry for announcing a price rise last week.
