Child Immigrants to Australia
Hundreds of poor children from the UK were sent to Australia under the terms of the Child Emigration Society. The Fairbridge Farm School at Pinjarra, Western Australia, to which the youngsters were sent was a community in itself. The boys are taught all branches of farm work and useful handicrafts and the girls are taught housework and dairy farm work. | Location: Fairbridge Farm School, Pinjarra, Western Australia.
