Newspaper Editor Howard Rock
Howard Rock, editor and publisher of the ?Tundra Times,? holds up a copy of his newspaper as he attends the annual meeting of the Association on American Indian Affairs in New York City. Rock described his publication as 'the world's only Eskimo-Indian-Aleut newspaper.' It is published twice monthly at Fairbanks, Alaska. Rock was a speaker at the meeting held at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art. The association membership was told that the American Indian is losing ground in his attempt to match the living standard of the inhabitants of the land which was once his.
