(Original Caption) How to get a suntan...Dressed only in a coat of coconut oil and a pair of shorts, Lt. Gov. Victor A. Meyers of Washington, dance band leader who was elected to his office on a jazz ticket, goes native in a big way at the Desert Inn, Palm Springs, California, in order to acquire a suntan. Meyers announced that as soon as he returned home he would organize an aerial expedition for a return trip to the Desert Inn, with the Governor and himself leading the way. He is traveling the Pacific Coast as an emissary of good will for the State of Washington. Photo shows Lt. Gov. Victor A. Meyers applying coconut oil as an aid to speedy suntan.
