Charlton Heston and Son

(Original Caption) Heston's Heir Cut. Hollywood, California: It's every daddy's painful duty to accompany junior on his first trip to the barber shop. No exception, actor Charlton Heston played that hair-raising role when his son and heir, 1-year-old Fraser Heston, came due for his first clipping. The scene of the shearing was a barber shop on the Paramount Studios lot in Hollywood. No stranger to the lot, young Fraser had already completed an acting assignment there. He plays the baby Moses in the bulrushes in the film, The Ten Commandments. Daddy Heston plays the grown-up deliverer of the Hebrews. Better than most babies at the barber's, Fraser didn't cut up unduly at the cutting. But it took all father Charlton's entertainment ability to keep away his son's tears. August 10, 1956.
