UNITED KINGDOM - MAY 12 1937: Following the coronation of George VI, King of England, the coronation of Queen Elizabeth by the archbishop of Canterbury in Westminster Abbey. This marriage was made in the purest British tradition, which calmed things down after the stirs caused by the resignation of Edward VIII, George VI's older brother. The Queen's crown was specialy made for the ceremony and is mounted on platinum. The circle is the one belonging to the crown Victoria used to wear at the Court. At the top, the famous Koh-i-Noor diamond. (Photo by Keystone-France/Gamma-Keystone via Getty Images)
