US marines arrested two Syrians and a Palestinian during a raid on their alleged safe house near the Syrian border, the US military said 03 October. The three were captured along with "other local anti-Iraqi militants," during a raid on a house four days ago near the town of Al-Qaim, the military said in a statement.
