(Original Caption) Briefcase in hand, a troubled French Premier Pierre Mendes-France leaves the Elysee Palace after a Cabinet meeting called to discuss the Algerian rebel situation as well as the general Civil Service unrest which threatens to disrupt government operations. In Algeria November 7th, reinforced French troops seized several mountain strongpoints in terrorist-ridden Southeast Algeria, and authorities announced the arrest of rebel leaders.
