Migrant Shelter Attacked With Hand Grenade
VILLINGEN-SCHWENNINGEN, GERMANY - JANUARY 29: Andreas Stenger, of State Office of Criminal Investigation shows a M52 hand granade at a press conferece after an unknown assailant threw a live hand grenade to a migrant shelter at the night before on January 29, 2016 in Villingen-Schwenningen, Germany. According to police the grenade failed to explode and was discovered by security personnel, who called the police. An explosives expert then detonated the grenade and their were no injuries. Germany has seen a sharp rise in the number of incidents of violence, including arson and beatings, against refugee shelters and refugees, following the arrival of 1.1 million newcomers in Germany in 2015.
