An Indian firefighter attempts to exting

An Indian firefighter attempts to extingush a fire in an oil tanker part of a goods train at Chintawanpur some 200kms north of Patna on May 20, 2010, after it was derailed and set alight by suspected Maoist insurgents. The left-wing guerrillas have stepped up attacks in response to a government offensive that began late last year in the forests of a so-called "Red Corridor" stretching across northern and eastern India. The insurgency began in the state of West Bengal in 1967 in the name of defending the rights of tribal groups, and has since spread to 20 of India's 28 states.
